    The Gun Class! (Suggestion)

I know you had a corsair in FF11 but this time I feel like an engineer type gun class would fit the mechanics and balance of this game perfectly. Engineering could be added to the game as a new craft to go along with it.

I'm not sure if they should/shouldn't have auto attacks.

They're basic rotation could grant them temporary stacks of "Deadeye" that increased crit rate by like 6% a stack. Later in the game the player could receive skills that gave them a damage bonus IF they crit, adding more variety to the different ways dps get high damage.

For basic attacks they could employ the use of the "Elemental shots" Bolt, fire, and ice which could decrease resistances or to the elements they use (or even increase vulnerability to make it more technical). So fire shot could reduce ice resistance making it smart to use ice shot in succession with Fire shot. You could even use wind if you needed a fourth one.

After I think about it more though increasing vulnerability would probably work best. because BLM and ENG would have synergy. Adding a mechanic to the game similar to the way tech skills were used in FF11.

Bolt shot could increase vulnerability to wind (making aero dots better and making them more viable for end-game).

Wind shot, however, could have increased potency over the others because; my idea is that it could place a temporaty debuff that instead of messing with resistances "Surrounds target with air (oxygen)" so when hit with a fire shot they would catch on fire for some damage over time. More potency would balance it out.

I was thinking 150 potency for Fire and Ice, 160 for bolt and170-180 for wind because you would get them later. Whatever isn't way too strong. that would add variety to the numbers.

Another DoT could be "Aim-Jugular" or "Aim-Heart." Gotta have Dots

Traits could add the ammount of stacks you can get for Deadeye or increase the ammount of crit chance you get off each stack. They could also increase the strength of the debuffs the ENG causes.

One trait could add a slight increase in attack speed to Deadeye making it kind of like greased lightning just not as much (so like 2% or 3%). Or to make it super technical each crit you get while under the effects of deadeye could have a small (maybe 5%-10%, whatever you have to do to balance it and make it cool) to reset your global cooldown entirely.

Anyway, that's my idea I'm sure there's some holes to fill but I hope it's unique. Maybe someday we'll see an engineer like the one in FFT modernized. I personally think it would be awesome.
