Game Pad Overlay will not go away

Hello. I was messing around in the chat options adjusting the UI to better suit my needs and somehow the game pad settings got turned on. And it wont go away. I've tried resetting it to default but all that does is return it to game pad mode. I have managed to set it up to where I can get my original hotbars back, and can move around with my keyboard, however, the game pad overlay is STILL THERE and WILL NOT go away no matter what I do. It's very perplexing and frustrating to say the least. I'd like to play the game at least.

Do you mean controll crossbar? If yes - you can switch it off and on by changing from controller to Keyboard and mouse in the character configuration - hter is a mig blue-ish "rock" switch to change the control scheme.

Yeah, I'm in-game right now and I see no such option. I've checked everywhere and done everything possible. No such luck.
