You might consider Mulled Tea for food. It won't give you determination, but more Piety, which can help for MP intensive fights.

Keep an Eye on your Aggro bars, and use Regen ALOT (if you can be sure, you will not draw aggro). Thats extremely MP efficient heals. Try to keep it up on at least maintank the whole time.
Use Divine seal alot, since it has a low CD.

In my opinion, theres Piety after Determination, and before Crit/SS.

The piety gains from tea are so incredibly marginal as to be nearly worthless. For reference, hitting the cap with HQ tea gives you 14 piety, which at level 50 equals 112 MP, less than the cost of a cure 1. Also for reference, native MP regen is 2% of max every 3 seconds. Assuming roughly 3-4k MP base, 112 MP will add all of 2 points to your ticks. It's also paired with SS, an equally worthless stat. Tea is absolutely not worth using in any situation anymore, and buttons are the way to go.

Just because I had seals to burn, I did some testing last week. I went from all my points into MND to all my points into VIT. My Cure went from doing an average of 1100 with full MND, to 1050 with full VIT. And my hp went from 4132, to 4598. I switched back immediately, because I don't need that much hp, but it seems to me the effect of putting all points into mind is grossly overstated. As I pick up more Daystar gear, I'm seriously considering putting all 30 points into PIE to make up for the lack of it on Daystar gear.

Piety doesn't scale the same as VIT does though. Putting all 30 points in Piety would give you about 225 more max MP, and an about 40 MP more per minute. Even over the course of a 10 minute fight that's still only 3 Cure I spells, not really worth reducing the potency of all your heals by 4-5% over.

2 mp every 3 seconds is 40 a minute, or 400 for a ten minute fight, plus the additional 112 MP at the start, which is 512 MP. That's half a Shroud over the course of a fight, which is useful if you need it, and worthless if you don't. And let's face it, Buttons is 16 det/10 crit vs. Tea's 14 Pie/10 Spell Speed (both have 15 vit). Neither one is going to make you Mr./Ms. Throughput all of a sudden. I personally prefer Mulled Tea, but that's more because I have a bunch left over from earlier in the game than because either one is better; neither is really all that good. We are talking 1% throughput vs. 2% more MP levels of meh, here.

Call me when they make food with +Mind or +Weapon Damage.

225 MP is 4.5 MP per tick, or 90 per minute, or 900 MP over a 10 minute fight. Combined with the extra 225 at the start of the fight, and that's 1125 MP, more than a Shroud. It's not a bad return; that said, I'd still agree that the mind is the better choice.
