That simply shows that there shouldn't have been an "in-progress" option in DF to begin with. Even WoW pooled new and in-progress runs in their group finder to avoid the sort of problem we are seeing here.

I hate joining a instance group part way through the run. I like to progress through the entire thing and not be parachuted in.
I would rather abandon a zone then join it in progress.
When you join a new group through the DF there is a good chance you will finish the zone, enjoy yourself, and not be subjected to drama.
When you join a group that is part way through a zone there is a good chance that the experience will make you wish that you hadn't logged on.
