GRAND COMPANIES & linkshells. QUESTION

I am mainly hoping a community rep will respond to this one.

The companies say it does not matter which city you originally started in, but will having linkshell members all signed to the same company make a difference. & WILL you be able to change companies if you dont like the missions?

Which should mean for now atleast you can change which company you are with

This also means at a certain rank, you are thrown in with them for life? At least until some memory wiping npc comes along. That's how it always goes, right?

Either at some rank, or until SE says there locking everyone to the company they are with in a patch.

I would definitely like to hear official word on this prior to release of companies. That will play a big part in what company I choose. Do I go with my social LS? My crafting LS? Or one of my two content LSs? What if they are all split up?

I want to know: Regardless of what company we are in, can we still assist others with their company quests?
And also: What are the restrictions on switching companies?

they should let people do all 3 cities missions regardless of alliance just like the ranking we had in FF XI with every city, if you had completed all the story missions from one nation you could switch to swear alliance with any other city, even if you didnt finish all the quest to rank 10, that will make the content more vast in my op.

I don't think the wording on the update is all that difficult to understand.

From what it says, we can gather that each Company has 1 "recruit" quest that you can take without having to commit to that one company. This means you can try them all out before you choose.

Then, you choose a company and STICK WITH IT. I don't think it's that complicated.

I dont think it'll matter seeing as the 3 companies have to work together anyway...unless theres some key background info im missing out on
