    Question Healing with controller - /ac "Cure" <number> doesn't work (

I tried to use attached to controller buttons macros to heal party members
    - outside duties (no party)
    - in duty in quest "Trial by water"
    - in duty in duty finder when i register myself as CNJ

/ac "Cure" <1> - heals myself everywhere (no party)
    /ac "Cure" <2> - writes <2> is not a valid target everywhere
    /ac "Cure" <3> - writes <3> is not a valid target everywhere

    /ac "Cure" <tt> works fine

what's wrong in my /ac ... <n> actions and what to do in such situation?

ps I tried to use <p1> , <p2>, <p3> instead of <1>... - this seems to be not working at all

I would be interested in hearing peoples thoughts on this. I have just unlocked scholar and was looking at doing a physick and embrace macro for all 4 party members which would be similar to the above. So it would be:

    /pac "Embrace" <1>
    /ac "Physick" <1>

    /pac "Embrace" <2>
    /ac "Physick" <2>

    and so on....

No idea why it doesn't work, but honestly macros like this will likely just hurt your performance in the long run on a controller. There's also the issue of 8-man content and your bars will just be completely full with redundant macros when you need to have a lot of actions available to you at any given time. I'd say do yourself a favor and just practice targeting the party with up and down on the d-pad manually.

Or just use F1 - F8 on keyboard to select party members - very usefull especially if you're using Toggle / Mixed crossbar mode.

At this moment i don't understand why it doesn't work too - "internet" writes that all must be fine. Maybe light party is not a party at all? If it's so, i don't understand how to train healing in party without light ones (
I found out then controller's up and down buttons doesn't cycle such "party" members too - <mo> marker finds me at first press and doesn't switch to another button.

    Do you have separate macros?
I built 4 for most dungeons. Each one is set up:
    /ac "Cure" <1>

Of course each subsequent one is <2>, <3>, etc. I have successfully set up my crossbar to heal a full party with these macros too. I make good use of swapping crossbars for additional spells. It helps to remember what spells are where. I like these macros because I do not often have to change away from targeting the enemy.

I then set each macro to my crossbar.

For the macro icon, I selected the big number icons to be easily recognizable over using /micon "Cure"

I use SCH also and use "Physick" in place of Cure.

I recently swapped from ps3 to ps4 and they work still.

    I wrote 3 separate macros -

    /ac "Cure" <1>
    /ac "Cure" <2>
    /ac "Cure" <3>

and assigned each of these macros to button on crossbar. Additionally i created & assigned to button macro /ac "Cure" <tt> (to cure tank)
Curetank works fine in all situations.
I tried to use cure-by-number not in real parties (i want to train before join) - it was "duties" assigned by duty finder (with real players) and quest duties with NPC and failed with " <...> is not a valid target" messages

Can you try to use your macros in duty finder's party an write here about result?

I'm sorry; I'm not sure what you are asking. If you don't have anyone in your party, your macros will only return the "not a valid target" error message. You can summon your bird to test the <2> target. I have been using the above macros successfully in dungeons for months without issue.

Numbers such as <1> never seemed to work for me either. Using <p1> does seem to work IIRC.
(I'm at work, so can't check my macros ATM)

    EDIT:
I checked my macros over the weekend, and all are using just numbers. I must ave initially tried with p1, p2, etc, then found that didn't work. Sorry if I caused any confusion

With NPCs that makes sense, as NPCs aren't actually considered part of your party (even when you're in a quest that requires you to protect them).

I don't know why it wouldn't have worked with real DF parties, though. It should have.
