    Solo Dungeons

Hi, was trying to reply to a post in gen discussion but my level won't allow. The question being asked was about the option to solo dungeons being added. It seems to always split opinion, but I'm new to MMO's and brought this game mainly for the FF brand. While I do dabble in the duty finder, I have mainly levelled to the point I am on the main missions, side quests, challenges and fates. I do plan on starting dungeon runs properly once I reach level 50, but for now I don't feel experienced enough and don't want to hold the veterans back.

However, the option to do the odd dungeon solo or with my companion is something I'd be interested in.

This may be a MMO, but its also a Final Fantasy game and an early release title for the PS4 at a time when there is a limited number of games available. There are bound to be players like me who enjoy working through the game solo being a FF fan and only party up when the game requires it.

What does every one else think?

We don't need to give more reasons for people not to play with eachother. This is an MMO not a singleplayer game.

Its not about giving reasons to not play together, as stated, I understand its an MMO, its about having the option when it suits the circumstances. Although I'm sure its not usually the case, I had to wait hours to progress my story the other night as I couldn't seem to find a party for the required dungeon. When I did finally get in, I got berated for not standing in a certain place on Ifrit, although I still took him out, just not the way someone else thought I should. It was a bit daunting for a noob like me, my chocobo is much more forgiving less critical

It's better to get used to interacting with groups while leveling, especially if you find them daunting now.

Also not everyone is an ass. Most people will help you if you mention that you are new. For queue times, it helps a little if you click all the languages.

Quite honestly, if you could level to 50 without doing dungeons, I'd say you'd wind up inexperienced to do dungeons. The best way to learn is how the game encourages it: Do the dungeons in turn, as each has increasingly harder mechanics (as well as your own role becoming more complex as time goes on).

Also, at the start of the dungeon, tell people you're new. Yes, there are the occasional asshats out there, but most players will be willing to explain a fight. Secondary to that, do take advice where offered, and try to do what research you can if you're concerned over being inexperienced.

Its OK, I've discovered the leves properly now after doing some online reading, I didn't know some of the solo ones, although rubbish for xp do sometimes give good gear and can be undertaken with your chocobo. I've managed to get some half decent pinks solo and finally ventured into the duty finder more to have ago with others now I'm slightly more comfortable with my actions and traits. Its a good step as they aren't as long as the dungeons. So many things to learn in this game, I find myself spending as much time reading up as I do playing, Just a quick question tho, my bonus attributes have so far been split 40-60 between vitality and strength in favour of strenght, I'm now thinking vitality might have been more important. Would I be wise to respec?

Technically once the 3 other members of your party quit/ d/c etc in a 4 man party then that's when it's considered a "solo" dungeon Xc

there are already solo dungeons.. those are call quests. you follow through with a certain requirement in order for you to complete it by yourself.
