It will be less RP, but it will make easier for casual players, as make money or search for repair materials are not always easy.

I dont understand how anyone can use the term "interesting." There is nothing interesting or entertaining about either repair system. It's simply a solid mechanic to deal with the adjusted death penalty. It's never been, nor will it ever be, a thrilling experience.
No, it's ok, I was really grumpy last night. I do really feel that way about people changing other people's posts, but I wouldn't normally let it get to me like that, so I'm sorry for that. I was still a tad jumpy from watching a semi-truck in a ball of fire skidding towards me and my children on the highway yesterday (No I am not kidding. No one was killed thank goodness.) and just other personal stuff that made yesterday a very long day.
No, I wouldn't call it thrilling, but more interesting, imo yes. If you're just going to make it 5 gobs of mysterious matter, you might as well take the whole thing out and make it money only. Having different materials added more gameplay; more things you had to consider and be responsible for.
Edit: To add a thought, complex gameplay to me is a Final Fantasy trait, and one that I enjoy. I expect to find gameplay here that is a little less shallow than other games. I've been ok with some of the other things they have done to make things "easier", but this one I am not pleased with.
It's overshadowing the news of the Grand Companies for me, and I'm actually not looking forward to 1.18 now at this point.
I know, it's just my opinion.Someone in a another thread pointed out they could have more in mind with this. We shall see.
Right and while you lose a little bit of a role now, come 1.19 the balance will be changed in your favor with the Materia system. People for some reason are only looking at how this well affect them right now but fail to look at the stuff for the future that's already been announced.
Do we know the details of what the materia system is?
I don't see how this is effecting anyone people are just gonna complain for no reason. Crafter's are still gonna make money from the people who do not wanna repair their own stuff(me). Also don't try to pass dark matter off as some type of goo cause the stuff been used in plenty of FF for different things.
Dark matter went from being used for nothing to making potions, upgrading all kinds of armor/accessories/weapons , improving armor, Dealing damage, casting magic, and learning magic. So anyone having played most FF's should know dark matter has done ton's of things and does not break any immersion what's so ever. So dark matter repairing stuff should not be shocking anyone.
Lol at the people saying this ruined patch 1.18 for them.... wtf, again some people on these forums just say the most crazy shit. The raise is to low thread had more credibility than this.
Edit: Also I'm glad i wont have to 7+ days to wait for someone to repair an item that has an retarded item for it.

Oh man, you guys are so hardcore for wanting to lug around dozens of items to repair with. Let me bask in your glory just one last time before we actually start casualizing (See: Making the game fun and practical) the game.
If you didn't catch the sarcasm, my apologies.
