Yes it is. I hate how they are /sh ing now and It's been the same guy for the last 2 weeks. How is he not gone yet?

I'm from Gilgamesh, and I tend to get at most one RMT tell per day, and generally no more than one per week. Haven't noticed anyone shouting for RMT either... Are they in Mor Dhona? I hardly ever hang out there anymore, now that Party Finder has made it pretty much pointless to congregate in one place.

long as that character was not doing anything then i agree it would work and see it used in other games se on the other hand wont take any active hardcore actions against rmt due to it costing them time and money and really they are trying to spend the least amount of money and devolopment as they they can its very aparent i am with you 100 percent i would love to just get rid of rmts i remember playing on early access and it was wonderfull but once the game whent live it took 3hrs for me to see my first rmt and least there not spamming in shoult anymore think se said hey no more of that it was so bad you could even have a conversation in any city

bottom line is unless someone goes after se or goes after the rmt companies on a harrasment lawsuit it will never end cause really they are harrassing players when its a contant stream of pms out of them thus they are dirrectly attacking you the player and no longer just the public

I see it in the three main cities. I could even tall you the gil seller's name since it's been the same one for two weeks now but I'm not to sure if that is breaking any rules.

You can filter tells, or not, it's up to you. What exactly do you want SE to do?.

Hmm for starters be able to filter tells from strangers that are not in your flist, FC, or lses.

I refuse to believe that after over a decade of MMORPG development that Square Enix has been unable to make some sort of RMT detection algorithm to block RMT spam.

Leviathan has been getting smashed hard with RMT the past few days. So much so that I'm sometimes getting RMT whispers for the same company but from 2-3 different people.

RMT spam just means the game's still doing well.

ESO is completely swamped with RMT, so... you know.

CCP did a good job with Eve Online since they introduced PLEX. Having a legit way to purchase IG gold can make a few faces sour up at the thought, but it's sure beats having to blist spammers every few hours and anytime I log in.

I don't think it'll take this kind of move for SE to make an impact. I'd like for them to just remove /tell altogether and force people to rely on /fc or /ls for non-zone chats. This way, all SE has to do is put some effort in monitoring /shout when RMT bots have no where else to spam to.

It does. They ban the accounts of both buyer and seller.
