I did something pretty amazing as a WAR today.

You all know Halatali HM right? Probably the most fun "Expert" dungeon to play so far. Well as a WAR, I obviously have an ego the size of an elephant and the spirit of one as well. When we got to the Gladiators section, I asked nicely if I could 1 versus 1 the MRD once we took out the two Archers, the Bard and BLM burned them down without touching the Marauder even a smidge, and once I was topped off after them, I had no heals or support.

Just a man on man brawl to the death as two axe-wielding beasts, the struggle was rough, my competitor was pushing me to use every ability I had. And just as Iron Tempest came up, the moment I had planned for, I Holmganged with Inner Beast and only lost 1.6K health or so(could not tell for sure, all I could see was what was right in front of me and nothing else)all the while popping all of my cooldowns and engaging him in fair combat.

Alas though, I was the champion and he fell valiantly, putting up a fight but only getting me to around 5K HP. And thus, I proved myself as a Warrior and shall return to my mountain village to tell the elders of my exploits.

tbh, enemy warriors are pretty dumb in this game. They only know how to spam overpower..

The marauder in Halatali does use other skills though, like steel cyclone. Then again, all the champions in Halatali use more skills because they are designed to be more like the player in combat. Hopefully we see more of this in the future.

You mean "Iron Tempest". The NPC versions of the PC skills have tweaked names. The GLA one is "Spirits Without" (though, iirc, it's a buff, as opposed to an attack), and I believe the LNC ones is tweaked as well.

I'm kind of curious how exactly a MRD gets access to a 45 WAR skill and a GLA gets access to a 45 PLD skill, though.

Spirits Without does damage in a small rectangle in front of the GLD, Doom Spike for the LNC enemy goes in four directions in wide AoEs. Inspirit is the ability the GLD uses that gives him haste, or Skill Speed and Spell Speed increase.
