Garuda took me a week with 4 parties daily, titan two weeks, ifrit two days. I'd suggest get better gear make own party ilevel 89+ which is what I finally did for titan we cleared with 1:23 remaining it's terrible yes but once you beat it best feeling ever.

Titan is stupid and I won't judge anyone that pays to clear that. It's incredible how much easier/more fun the ones after are.

Titan doesn't teach you anything that helps you with Coil, Ifrit, or anything after, either, it's just a crappy fight.

Actually it does, it's a good test for dodging mechanics and be on the ball ready for the next phase or attack.

I have to complete this quest, haven't tried the fight actually I just want to get some gear first because I'm healer, but I saw the same with Titan HM, people that just quit after one single wipe, I don't mind if I have to wipe 20 times but sadly that's how it is. At the end I finished with a really nice group with the DF, but took me some time. When I'm ready t face Garuda EX I believe that I'm going o search for FC so they help me out.

This actually really surprises me. When I first beat Garuda EX, it was with the very first learning group I joined. My exact impression of the battle at the time was that, aside from the bit of extra work the tanks have to do, it didn't feel any harder than Garuda HM. It still feels that way to me even now. I've been in groups that have had hard times with Titan EX, just like everyone, but Garuda is not one I've ever seen more than a small handful of groups have any real trouble with.

Also, on the subject of Titan. I'm with Nova on that one. It tests your reaction time and dodging ability which really is a big part of the game. It really isn't that bad of a fight if you're focused, and your hardware can keep up. To me, Titan EX is about as hard as Titan HM was way back in it's prime.

Im pretty new to the game but I cleared it my first try by joining a training group in PF. We wiped quite a few times but finished it with about 10 minutes left. Everyone in my group was determined to beat it and no one rage quit (that seemed key to me). I ended up making some quality friends out of it, as well.

Ummm I always beat garuda with 2 healers pre-Echo.... there were SOME PF groups for a solo healer/all ranged DPS... but for the most party my first bunch of clears were pre-Echo, with 2 healers.

This fight is a tank intensive battle... and if the MT can not dodge/survive the double wicked wheel its a wipe..... if both tanks cant swap the spiny its a wipe...... if the OT cant take suparna off the MT its a wipe..... if the tanks cant figure out the tornado mechanic its a wipe.... those are your biggest problems

And I still don't see why we still do the 2 tank method when the triangle method is so much cleaner and easier..... but everyone refuses to do it.

I never did garuda ex with less than 15% echo (no matter if DF or PF team). I play a healer so you cannot say it was my fault for stacking echo - i simply told author my own experience. Idea is not to disband before you fail at 20% echo.

I'm sorry that you had horrible groups, but that's no reason to make people think that Echo is required.

I finished Garuda Extreme couple of weeks ago I used the PF and It was a great group. Even with a nice group we wiped like 6 times but nobody gave up at the end we killed Garuda like with 6 minutes remaining but we did it at least. Now I'm having a hard time with Titan because with just one wipe everybody leaves I tried to search for a nice FC but all them rejected me saying that they already had a white mage for pugs or primals. I think that is just a matter of luck to get the right group.
