Anyone else feel like not much is done about gil seller spam?

Remember when the game first launched and the gil spammers were flooding shout channels? That has stopped. Now they spam us with tells instead.

When 2.1 was released, I noticed for about a week they ceased. So whatever was done at that time definitely worked. Again they were back a week later.

Also its a little frustrating reporting these guys as a PS3 players.
In case your a PS3 players and want to help report you have to...
Press L1 and R3 to enter mouse mode..... highlight ALL the text from the gil spammer. Copy and paste it into the report cheating under support desk in the menu. Enter the date they messaged you, their name, the world your on, and paste the message they sent you.

Doesn't that seem like a lot of work for a player to do?
I really don't mind but after a while, they don't stop coming and I feel like my efforts are in vain.

/shrug. It's way better than some games I've played, that have been out for YEARS. I only need to report/blacklist one a day, and that's fine by me.

I switched /tell to it's on chat channel and turned off the chime. This way, if I need to tell someone something or I'm expecting a tell, I can switch to that channel. Otherwise, RMT people can spam away and I never see it. The only bad part I guess is when people send me a random /tell and then likely think I'm some sort of snob because I don't message them back.

I think my servers Gil spammer population is higher than actual players. I already lost hope S.E would do anything about it.

Just blacklist. Their RMT algorithms will pickup and ban these people.

I've never seen a RMT teller last more than 1 day, I'd say SE's pretty diligent.

It might seem like they aren't doing much considering I get at least 4-6 spams every time I log on (roughly twice a day, sometimes just once), but they are. It's impossible to catch them all but they do get a few here and there. I think that counts for something, anyway.

I've had my blacklist get full twice and had to delete it and not even 5% of them were deleted.
Most of the names were random characters.

There always going to be here so long as their a demand for them, meaning players who buy gil from them are also imo the problem of all the rmt spam.

@ wolf gang Umm. I'm on your server and I know that's not true. The one in the steps of nald has been /sh for 2 weeks.
