Creating a Free Company

Hey, before 2.1 i quit bec i had nothing to do, t5 down and stuff and i got bored. Now i came back, new account and i want to play the game more smooth and "casual". I also prefer to play alone and so here is my question:

Can i just ask 4 ppl to sign for the Free Company and they leave after that so i am alone in the company? I know it takes long to rank up alone but it would be a nice thing for me to at least have the possibility to have my own Company alone. So at rank6 someday i could build my own house. Want to be independent.

I had a very well intentioned person on Tonberry ask for my help with their Free Company petition just yesterday, and being that I had no reason to object I obliged. I was told I could leave after the petition succeeded, and it was all very friendly. The Free Company was for Japanese speaking players, so I had no place in it anyway, but I'm sure if you approach people on that basis, and are friendly and explain what you're doing you'll be able to pull enough signatures.

But what I would recommend, since you want a casual FC, is to appeal to players who might be interested by explaining your FC needs signatures, you're looking for casual players who want to level with each other, who are playing for fun, and with no serious demands on them.

There's no real purpose to a FC with only one member. If you get other players in there you'd have an easier time of getting parties together for instances. But if you really want the solo then you can go about it the way you like. Just remember to be really friendly and inform people of what you're after. All in all getting signatures is a bit of a numbers game.

You can do that indeed - as long as the players are not already members of another FC it will not make any harm to them. It's worth the additional storage and if you manage to join eventual alts on the same server you can use the FC chest to transfer items (non-unique and tradeable only) and gill between your alts that way too.
