UI Controls - Questions/Help??

1. There a way to map left click and right click to keyboard keys so I can ditch the mouse and use only the keyboard?

2. Are there keyboard hotkeys to switch between chats, like FC, party, say, tell, etc.?

3. Is there a way to assign keyboard hotkeys for pet actions on the pet actions hot bar (the one that only shows up after the pet has been summoned)?

4. Is there a way to assign a key to jump to max zoom out instead of have to roll the mouse roller, or click the zoom out multiple times? So you can easily jump from reset camera which is default to max zoom out and back and forth.

5. With legacy mode, is there a way to back pedal like the way you can strafe left and right for the cases that you want to back pedal?

6. Is there a way for it to auto-target/lock-on to the closest target when I issue an attack spell/skill? Make going from target to target much easier when doing FATES with a big crowd, instead of tab-ing thru targets a bunch (which are often dead by the time you tabed to them) or mousing on stuff.

7. Is there a way to always sort the party members? Really useful for a healer to know that F2 is my first tank and F3 is my second tank. Is there any reason for not sorting? It is kind of pointless to have to go and manually force the sort.

8. It there a way to get the tells to not make that noise? You got RMT Gil spammers to thank for this. Or better yet only tells from friends in your friends list gets to make the chime.

1. There a way to map left click and right click to keyboard keys so I can ditch the mouse and use only the keyboard? (Ps4 Controller?) *how will you get the camera to move.. [perhaps you are having a physical problem, but PC.. Keyboard+Mouse.. for me at least..]

[This is what they REALLY should implement - I an in FC chat, I want to talk into party - /p and type, they it CONVERTS to party, until I change it back! GRRRR! Very stupid, and it got some into weird situations.. <---]

[I still have a hard time with this myself]

It is kind of pointless to have to go and manually force the sort. [Macro your Buffs before your Protect and Stoneskin to all 8 players, with /psort on the first line.]

[yes you can, you will have to mess up with the settings a bit, and it might answer some of your other questions.] **Gil spammers will still be there even without sound, and then you will ask how to remove them

It is not that I really dislike the mouse, but rather I find the only time I ever use the mouse is to interact with NPC and pick thru vendor selections. Other than that I set the default zoom level I like, and then sometimes I want max zoom out for combat situations, other than that, it is not used.

Unless of course, I can get the look-to-follow mouse like the way FPS works, and I use left click and right click as primary skill/spell and secondary skill/spell etc.

I can use the PS4 controller, but it seems I always need to put it down to type and char with the keyboard. So if everything can be done with the keyboard it would be most ideal.

I use primarily keyboard, only mouse if I must. Here are some answers for you.

1) 0/Ins on the numpad is select/enter. It functions in place of clicking.
2) typing only "/s" or "/p" or whathaveyou without a message will change the chatmode
3) Probably, look in Keybinds > Hotbars
4) No one key to max zoom that I have found. You can spam pgup and pgdown to zoom in and out quickly tho.
5) No idea.
6) I have auto-targeting set, and it doesn't seem to work. I have "closest enemy target" hotkey set to G and I use that instead.

8) /chatlog call off

Also, you can use the directionals on the numpad to scroll thru vendors wares, and 7 & 9 on the numpad will page thru menu pages (for instance, your inventory tabs).

Aside from interacting with npcs and such, you're kinda going to want it to target mobs and turn your camera, too.

Tab targeting is sorta viable, and you can move the camera with the keyboard, but when there's a better option already right there next to your hand, why wouldn't you want to use it? (disabilities that prevent it aside)

There's literally no reason to ever backpedal. Ever. Like ever ever.
