A good reason why people want to skip mobs or kill all at once is because killing them is not fun. Tank needs to maintain enmity, healer needs to keep everyone alive, dps need to watch enmity and dodge aoe while doing damage. It would be a different matter if killing mobs was fun.
But i like the idea of sub tasks with extra rewards (not chests with ether potions and darklight gear, but something useful).
