Toto-Rak and Copperbell for me, it's all I get. I don't care, I'll say a simple "Nope, not doing this again" and leave
Maybe if Random was actually Random, but in this game it's not.
It's possible to roll a 1-2 on a 20-sided dice 10 times in a row. That doesn't make it "not random".
I like the scaling / cumulative idea
My wife only jumped out of a dungeon once, something came up IRL while we were doing the new hard modes.
Which should be the only reason you skip out anyways.

What does speed running a dungeon have to do with getting screwed out of rewards? Yes I like to speed run as much as I can, But I'm also not that player that does BrayFlox HM and leaves after the 2nd boss. I do my "Speed Runs" in Duty Finder and stay till the end.
Giving the rewards at the end of a run will not help, It will only cause more issues than the one it tries to solve.
Yup this totally works I've had plenty of players "Fake DC" right after the 2nd boss in BrayFlox HM.
I agree with this. If someone chooses to Leave the dungeon because its not what they want, Then they should lose the Bonus for the Day.

I always seem to get Cutter's Cry.
But it's not technically random. I suspect I've been getting Cutter's Cry so often because people are running it more often these days because it's needed for one of the Animus books or something. This is probably also why Brayflox HM comes up so often on the Expert roulette - people run that dungeon for tomes because it's so quick.
Well 90 minutes in a dungeon that takes 15-20 certainly isn't my idea of fun. Then again if your dungeon takes 20 minutes, you're not speed running it anyways.
As for talking to people? Time spent typing is time spent not doing dps, healing, or tanking. But if you really want to talk? Do it in FC or linkshell. You just another random in the DF, so don't expect much conversation out of me.

Then don't do roulette. Simple as that.
I get zones all the time that I don't like in Roulette. But guess what? I only run it once for the bonus then after that only check off zones I want to do. Its *ONCE*. Suck it up and do it. Only exception is the few times I have ended up in Copperbell (Hard) or Mannor (Hard) with severely under geared DPS. But I can get this manually selecting those zones as well so meh.
Cool story time!
Had to do Copperbell (Hard) for a book. Twice in a row, one even before the blue ring dropped, tanks bailed on the zone. Needless to say I have been screenshotting the party on load and started reporting people who do this.

I've had this happen too. I got into Halitli NM. The tank before the other dps was out of cs (who was also a new player). Right after that the healer also left. I don't think we should even be allowed to leave before the duty even started. This is getting really bad.

time out penalties are meaningless. i haven't tested this out extensively but i never get a penalty from leaving a roulette; never.
also, there is the party finder work around. you could give people a 2 hour lock out but they can still join/make a group in the PF and be just fine.
