Is there a crit cap for monk?

I've always thought that the more crit the higher the percentage you deal critical damage. I've had 570 crit (with food applied) and about 36% of my attacks were critical hits

I'm guessing you had the Tidal Wave/Wave Patas, Allagan Belt and Apkallu Omelette on when you did this? The more crit, the higher the percentage. That is correct. I was just wondering why I couldn't go over 500 but I'll switch tonight to the Vortex Ring and check. I was at around 30% crit when I was in T6 last night.

Going for Crit/Det build? I'd say it looks pretty good. Maiming bracelet from T5 is about the only thing I can see that could boost crit a bit more.

Always have. DET has twice as much return as CRT. I do want the maiming bracelet but turn 5 farm group rarely ever shows. Maybe I will when I get the Weathered Gloam Belt this week to make up for the loss of accuracy from removing Hero's. Maybe if I get lucky and get the Allagan Baghnakh, I can get the Saurian Gloves of Striking too.
