Talk about overreaction. One thing I find really sad is that new players don't know Louisoix. They watch the trailer and the old man give that heartbreaking smile and they're like "who's this douchebag", when for those who played he was the guy that told us "good job, mate" for killing them primals over and over again etc. We knew him..
dalamud the name itself was a hint a lot of people was talking about how they could be something inside. Most people guess it would be bahamut. I had that in mind when they release the ending video. It was still epic and enjoy the hell out of it here a video for you if you have not yet seen it.

the 1.23b skybox with dalamud just about to unlesh bahamut was amazing, i could stay looking at the sky in coerthas ( before it was covered in snow ) and just sit there hopelessly
also ... i miss my NPC companion... they were true heroes of Eorzea!
R.I.P
never forget!
HeavensWard theme song lyrics:
-"We can [Stance]dance if we want to
We can leave your friends behind
Cause your friends don't [Stance]dance
And if they don't [Stance]dance
Well they're no friends of mine"
Thanks!![]()
It was pretty much referred to as a meteor the entire time, when I first saw the shards coming out my only thought was, "Holy shit... It's a prison." then when I saw Bahamut I could only think, "Well, they did say they wanted to destroy the world..."I sadly never had a chance to play 1.23, but man that ending, so many feels! So Epic!
But did anyone actually know bahamut was inside beforehand? Or was everyone just guessing how the world would end before the servers went offline. If so, how was your reaction seeing bahamut unleashed? I would assume that would be one of the greatest endings of all time.
Even though we failed to prevent Dalamud (and Bahamut), I wouldn't say we lost the conflict. When Bahamut was released, he was pretty indiscriminate as to who he killed. Since we was unleashed in Eorzea, it took the brunt of the attack. Our over-arching goal was to counter the invasion of Garlemald. I'd call it a "Pyrrhic Victory". We did succeed. Garlemald did not in fact successfully invade us, we are free from Garlean rule. But the price was so great it doesn't feel like much of an success.
I'm an optimist.
Minfilia clearly misses Lou, she even has his broken up staff behind her. She stepped up as leader after his death. Thancred was affected probably the most. The guilt he feels for failing to save him gives the Ascians the ability to....you know. So 2.0 does acknowledge his sacrifice. I do kinda wish new players would look up Lou, and realize why he is an important character. SE could have done something with the Echo where we experience memories of Lou from the different Scions.
