About using Phantasia to change for Marriage and then change back! How will that work

So If marriage is becoming a real deal, a thought came to mind since phantasia is officially being put up in mog station in may. How will it work if people will change their sex just to get marriage and then change back, since people will have that option lol (and maybe they like to play females/males so will want to switch back).

Of course this is all assuming if SE won't allow same sex marriage for now I guess we will just have to wait for more details. But even then what if you want to switch one day to just change and you were married to somebody how would your ring work? lol or anything else?? Definitely curious lol.

Rings and garb will be gender locked just like any other piece of event gear. Changing your gender will nullify the marriage.

Well then a lot of people would not have the freedom to use phantasia any time they want.
That seems a little harsh to have to sacrifice ever using Phantasia because of in-game marriage. :/
So people have to choose between marriage or ever getting to change appearance?
Hmmm, I hope that is not the case.

I mean another thing is they will add a new race at some point so many people might want to use their Phantasia and try out the Doma Race or w/e.

Can anyone tell me the benefits of a marriage, like will there be something specifically for married people?

The same benefit of any marriage: a sense of entitlement and superiority.

Keep in mind that same sex marriage still isn't allowed in FFXI either.

Sense? I don't think that word means what you think it means.

Oh, this will definitely be interesting. I remember getting married on a game once because of certain privileges like being able to summon your spouse at your side, sacrificing your hp to give them mp, etc. They should really implement something like this otherwise its pretty pointless.....

(And I'm stunned about this news, marriage on ffxiv O: what?!)

Funny, but I don't remember seeing fine details like that in the translated entries. No, I can agree with you on the tuxedo... but I doubt the rings will be gender-locked given that there are no such rings in the game presently to use as precedent. Plenty of garb precedents, though.
