About using Phantasia to change for Marriage and then change back! How will that work

I am gonna call it now and say this is going to be a loophole for in-game gay marriages and SE will not correct it so they can cash in on the gays when fantasia goes up for sale.

Why does one need to be gay? That the problem with this whole marriage crap. Me and my wife both play female characters, Would we like to get married in this game? sure. Will we? probably not. You don't need to bash anyone because of their sexuality.


TBH what I think SE should do is only allow Same Sex Marriage on NA/EU servers. I know homosexuality isn't a big thing in japan, But maybe by just leaving JP servers out there won't be such a big backlash. At the same time I'm sure if they did add same sex marriage that there would be some backlash in NA/EU servers as well. But we are playing a video game people views on religion, politics, and ethics probably shouldn't be here.

I honestly don't care what people do, it's their subscription. As I said in the other thread, I don't really do the marriage thing because I fear the other person might be too serious about it. But if the dress is pretty, I WANT IT!

About marriage bonuses .. i'm not an expert but in others MMORPGs didn't it give players exp boots and stuff like that?

You can buy the other gender gear of the valentione set from the calamity NPC. You can't wear it, but you can buy it.

I don't think it is in contrast with what i have written. The calamity npc has been introduced only after 2.2 (if i'm not mistaken) so during the event you could obtain only the items which matched your character's gender.

The feature has only been barely friggen mentioned.
How about we just have a little patience before asking how things will work? I mean, are you expecting players to answer you? Community reps (with the content not even having a full blown announcement yet)???
The only information we have is that weddings will likely take place at the Sanctum of the Twelve, the wedding veil is gonna be wavy and pretty- and some old text from Yoshi stating that same sex might result in "backlash" so they would likely only offer opposite-sex marriage at the start.

We have NO clue how Phantasia will affect married couples. NO clue if there are/aren't benefits of marriage (though shared storage would be awesome ).

TL;DR- Patience. We will know all we need to WHEN we need to.
