    Two Unrelated Bugs

Hello! I have a few bugs to report.

The first one I have encountered is happening in the Thanalan area outside Ul'Dah. The problem is that the normal background music does not play. No music, just silence. Sound effects are fine, just no music. This has been happening every time I log in. It doesn't matter if I change areas. I like the music here so I really miss it!

My second issue is that my area of effect spells while playing Conjurer are not hitting any other enemies withing range. The spell is only doing damage to the targeted enemy. It is rather frustrating!

Please help me solve these issues! I believe they started after the last update (or was it the one before that?)

    Here is my info:
    Arock Baknam
    Male Elezen
    rank 15 Conjurer
    Fabul server

Let me know if any other information is required. Thanks in advance!

Hey, the background music part is not a bug. It is actually part of a event, if you look at the forums you will see why. For the conjurer not hitting, did you check if maybe the AoE toggle is off?

    Greetings, Arock!
Thank you for taking the time to post your concerns about the music, as well as your trouble with hitting mobs with your Area of Effect spells. Just to make sure that matters are properly covered, though, it would be best to dedicate a single concern to each thread. By having only one problem reported per thread, we can make sure that all of the proper information is gathered for a thorough investigation, and any necessary responses to the reports are provided without any confusion.
For now, we will dedicate this thread to the more immediate concern regarding your Area of Effect spells. Otsoko did bring up a very good point, so it would be a great help to us if you state whether or not the AoE toggle was on. In addition, information regarding what area and coordinates you experienced this in, whether or not you were in a party, which specific spells did you use, and which mobs were involved in the attack would be greatly appreciated. Also, the following information would contribute to the investigation:

    Platform:
Specify which version of Windows was in use to play the game.

    ISP:
Name of ISP you use to connect to the Internet.

    Type of Internet Connection:
Specify the type of connection. (dial-up, DSL, CATV, Optic Fiber, Other)

    Internet Connection Speed:
Specify the speed of internet connection. (Example: 768Kbit/s, 5Mbit/s)

    Date & Time:
Date and time of when the issue occurred. Please be sure to state the time zone of your region. (Example: Pacific Time = PST/PDT)

    Thanks again for your participation!

Actually, I do feel really stupid now because it was the AoE toggle! I'm pretty new to magic in FFXIV, so I didn't know you had to toggle AoE on and off.
I didn't know there was an even currently, but I'll look into it regarding my music.
    Thanks everybody for your help!
