actually, it's something to do other than bum-run dungeons, hear tears all day and constantly re-run crap.
it's something on the side to do. there's no point in vanity either when u think about it. it's just for fun.
im upset that personal housing is still not coming...but i guess it'll be fun to decorate my room.
i would like neighbors, my own garden w/o ppl in it all day when im spending me gil on stuff for them to harvest and idk
where my crop goes and more. i love to hang w/ my fc but we have a small plot and crap looks like a clutter fk when u have members

Just do like the rest of us buy a small FC house.

FC Housing- group housing for you and your FC, activities that could be specific to that type of housing (airships, chocobo stables), communal features that you might not be able to afford on your own for a personal house (the crafting stations)
Personal Housing- who knows? Like FC housing I assume, maybe different areas or sizes, maybe shares some features with FC housing (gardening)
Personal Rooms- A way for those who can't afford their own land or house to have their own space. Limited by size and the choice of where your fc decides to put the house.

Thats what I assume is going on with the different types of housing. Personally I think it's good. People complain about server limitations and such and yes, it does kind of suck, but FFXIV is in a unique postion that they are working off the remnants of an old game, they had to develop it in a very short timeframe while also working on the previous iteration of it, and want to be sure they don't have any major mistakes after the disaster that was 1.0. Not to mention for the popularity ARR saw compared to 1.x they probably didnt expect the numbers and the need for so many servers, so trying to stick to budget didn't expand as much as they needed to.

Thanks for that. Though this is more of an 'estimation' than it is a 'promise'. They use words like 'around' and 'roughly' because they aren't 100% sure. Even so, personal room probably by 2.3 and personal housing by 2.35 seems pretty close to what they said in this live letter. Especially since they apparently decided to go with both rather than one or the other.
