Support jobs?

Is there any recent news about support jobs being implemented in the game alongside the Trinity ( dps, heal, tank)?

I know it was mentionned some times ago, not sure if its still planned or scrapped.

I believe ages ago, they said that an actual "support role" wouldn't fit into how the game has been designed. Yoshida DID confirm around october/november that we'll get HYBRID Jobs however, as in, 1 Job that can fulfil 2 different roles.

Considering how, as content gets harder, we're going to quickly run into issues of maintaining strong secondary stats alongside primary stats (talking about crit, accuracy and the like) that a support class/Job able to provide 'command' buffs in a manner not unlike a bard's songs seems a foregone conclusion. Musketeers always struck me as a command class, anyway, given guns were often only carried by ship's officers as uniform whereas crew made do with axes and clubs unless a fight was expected.

I would like to see this as well but the only way I see it happening is for them to have a job that you get from having X Jobs LVd. You would not have to LV this Support job thru combat since it will have support skills and not rly any DMG

both whm and sch have nukes and dmg spells and both can be leveled as 1 job

I want new classes, but just like every person. I want the Bard to be a Bard support and not a Ranger as it currently is.

Same, I wish there was more of a variety in songs. Stuff like atk+, regen, def+ etc

actually yoshi said it would be a class that nobody was expecting, didnt say anything about support class. Also in the past he talked about adding more hybrid roles, such as healer-tnk or dps-tnk maybe, idk but he has not mentioned much about support roles yet or straying away from the holy trinity except for hybrid roles is all he has mentioned.

Bard is not Ranger, Bard is Archer.

Rangers can use a bow (very well, in fact) but are not defined by their bow the way that Archers are.
