In the Live letter Yoshi said the average player has about 2million Gil. So I would guess Personal Housing will be somewhere in the ball park of 2-5million Gil.

Yeah right. Most people I know have maybe 200K gil on average.

challenge log gives you around 50k gil a week, add that with dailies and you should easily make 70k a week with that alone if you have a gather up you can make another 7k a week (if you get unlucky and only get 1k a treasure) that doesn't include anything good that could drop. there is also retainers if you send them on 18 hour explorations (or 1 hour quick explorations) you can get good stuff, i just got my second taffeta cloth but in the 18 hour you get 3 silver allagan pieces a go with 2 retainers that's 6 every 18 hours so 3k a day minimum.
