I did it a couple days ago, had the issue of targetting people to res or heal, and I was going in as SMN. Mind you, we probably had about 200-300 people going nuts.

I don't know what to tell you. I have no trouble getting gold on both Behemoth and Odin now. Before it was difficult just to get silver.

Oh. I'd say don't waste your time trying to apply dots because you have a rare chance of them actually sticking because he already has the maximum he can have. That does lose you a lot of dps time.

It is awful how poorly Odin works. On Tonberry he spawned on the North Shroud not long ago and the entire zone was a sea of the little red DCed symbols. It was pretty amusing except it knocked one of our raid members off the server for a while.

Even more recently (yesterday, in fact) I was actually able to get Gold, but that hardly improves my opinion of the fight. I went as MNK for the LB and shoulder tackle was hilariously rubber-bandy. I would hit it, wait 5 seconds, then suddenly be somewhere way far away from Odin. Sometimes I would be in the circle (or think I was anyway) for Odin's AoEs and not be affected at all and other times he would be standing somewhere else and suddenly I'm dead. Some of the mechanics like the vulnerability debuff from standing in front are completely meaningless since it's impossible to tell where Odin is facing at a given moment.

I don't know how much of a difference this made, but I healed and resed whatever player I saw because I couldn't always target my own party, I think I actually healed non party members alot more than my own, and I ended up with gold.
So don't restrict your actions to party, res all corpses you see, hopefully it makes a difference!

I'm inclined to agree with the OP. It's not only frustrating how the score mechanics work, but also the lag which makes you unable to target party members. I've had people remain dead on the ground because the healers literally could not target them.

you need a new pc if you cant handler odin fate and behemoth, I play on a laptop and I have never get lag since 2.0 til 2.2 so I dont know what is the issue, and i got gold more often after they fix the fate so that odin & behemoth stop dissappear

I just spent an entire odin fight (from the start) going all-out as a bard, hitting it, even taking damage a few times, and i got completion, 29 serpent seals and 10 gil, no mantle.

I was in a party with others who were also there from start and some only got bronze, others got nothing as well.

A bunch of people also mass dc'd halfway through

So what's the deal? It's been over half a year. Why is it so hard to get one single fight to work properly? I thought this was supposed to be fixed multiple patches ago.

Short answer is, not enough dps. Being there the entire fight doesn't mean much if your members are a: dead half the time or b: not doing enough damage.
