Suggestion - Add option to Menu to prevent tells from RMT

    Hello!

One of the most annoying things I come across when going afk and coming back is checking my log of 90% RMT tells, 5% shouts/says and 5% FC / LS chat.

I would love the option to allow people to only /t me if they are on my Friend List, in my Free Company, Linkshell or party.

The downfall to this is you can't get any random "legit" tells...but I do not get many at all and I generally don't message people randomly anymore since the party finder has been added. Also, you have the option to enable or disable this if it were an option in the chat settings.

I can see this being a very nice advantage to counter RMT being able to spam players constantly with garbage.

    This, so much this.

I will probably miss the random legit tells (the whopping few I actually get), but it would save so much frustration, and my blacklist.

Or instead of only Friend List, Free Company, Linkshell or party.

Maybe Expand the Tells filter we'll call it, with more options like lvl restrictions so the level 1 RMT spammers cant send you tells. or something o.0

There is a different solution to RMT spamming that I think could be implemented.

SE must be able to track not just character names of spammers, but the account to which the characters belong. The same holds true for when people use the /ignore command. So perhaps that instead of ignoring characters, when players use the /ignore command it is entire accounts that should be ignored.

Even if the person being ignored was another player, not an RMT spammer, who was harassing someone, being able to lock out a harasser's account would prevent that person from just logging onto a different character and continuing the harassment.

SE could even take this one step further. If in their server processes they included something that would tally /ignores against each account receiving one, they could enable a proactive process that could suspend accounts that received a certain number of /ignores from enough accounts within a short period of time to indicate that the offender was probably an RMT spammer. This same process could flag the account for expedited attention from customer service to see if the suspended account is actually guilty of RMT activities and allow them to take appropriate action. This could include removing the suspension and restoring an account unfairly targeted in some manner.

Such a process could suspend an account across all worlds as well. In targeting RMT accounts this way, the spamming accounts could be locked out within just one or two carpet spams on any one world.

Please, please, an option just to turn tells off. SE have completely failed to tackle this problem adequately. There has been an explosion of RMT tells in the last few weeks, and I am now getting about 20 a day; so for SE to only be banning around 400 accounts per week, worldwide, is completely unacceptable.
Please, either sort something out NOW or you will risk losing long-term customers who are reaching the end of their enjoyment of the game, and are being tipped over the edge by this constant spamming that you cannot presently be bothered to tackle.
I can't even email customer services to get an official response!
This is now a total joke SE.

I like the level requirement idea. Either optional or forced, prevent /tell for anyone below lvl 15 & who is not in a part of your Friends List.
