No gender restrictions on the marriage system

I have the distinct feeling that this forum isn't actually meant for in game feature requests, but I see a lot of people posting them here anyway and I can't find another place for this so... Please move/close this if it's wrong.

One of the things I really, really love about FFXIV: ARR is that since the reboot there are no longer any races with only female or male avatars and there's a wide range of clothing that both genders can wear. The glamour system has only added to the awesomeness of this. Too many (MMO)RPG's that I play force women into (chain mail) bikini's and men into full body armour. I love that this game offers all those options for both genders. ^^

So as a member of the LGBT+ community and I female gamer I'd like to see this equality extended further to the new marriage system. Please implement it without gender restrictions.

It's a dream, but instead of focusing of the IRL, i think it should be lore dependant. Maybe some race or even tribe allow it and some don't. Same thing with two people who are not the same race.
Make lore story about that, make Roleplay, make content. Not just a ring, a dress and a church.
