Well for me new and original does not always mean better. You can see SE tried so hard to make FFXIV different from FFXI that they also left out a lot of things that made FFXI great and a success.

I am not saying I want FFXI-2 but what I do want is a great game and if FFXI did something that was great and worked well then there is no reason why SE can't look at that and then update it and make it better. I think that is what a lot of people are getting at when they say they want things from FFXI. It's not that they want a direct clone but just something that worked really well then it is up to SE to improve upon it.
