Suggestion: Implement "reverse-echo" that buffs enemies for higher drop rates

We know that there exists "echo" in the game that buffs up your party's HP, damage-dealt, and healing recovery.

Well, I know that many including myself have been farming Levi-X a lot and that drop rates on mirror and mount are very, very low. I also know this fight starts to get dull after you've repeated it so many times trying to get these rare drops.

I would suggest a "reverse-echo" be implemented where the party could opt to fight a buffed version of the enemy by selecting a level of "reverse-echo" before the fight - where the enemy's HP, damage, etc. would be buffed up to 25%. In return for fighting at the higher difficulties, we would get higher drop rates on rare items. Also would keep the fight more interesting, particularly for parties that actually have to hold back dps to avoid early enrage.

    Just a thought...

I'm thinking about 25% more damage from Levi, and the tidal roars later in the fight would just wipe my Bard out completely.

I think if they do that, it only going to force them to make new fight with initial even lower drop rate next time, and ask players to increase drop rate by doing it in reverse-buff mode in order to has little chance of item.

You know that the fact that SE design low drop rate since the beginning is to prevent players from get it fast right? It is their goal that you can not get mirror. So if they give a new method to help, they gonna lower the initial rate in order to keep the same pace.

I love this idea. This was my favorite thing about The World Ends With You and it would be awesome to have this implemented in more games.

Sounds like a good idea...... But if something like this were to be added lots of players would be raging. 25% more damage/HP is a lot just for the chance at more loot. Instead SE should just increase the drop rate on the mirrors.

so basically your asking for hardmode ? which exists in wow, which people in this forum hate, well a lot of them ;/, the fights are largely the same as you say, and you do get better drops, same item but better, your idea isnt really any different to this.

I was thinking of something more along the lines of what they do with Odin. Each time you kill him, he gains a level, so that way he's harder. This would be cool with primals, so they get stronger and would give rare loot more easily.
