I hope there is some kind of misunderstanding here but does this mean the players who aren't in a free company won't get housing at all? Ever?

I hope they clarify this soon because that does not sound good given how long I've waited for housing

They said (in a famitsu interview) there'll be both personal rooms in FC housing and personnal plots of lands to buy. Whilst the personal rooms are bound to be released in 2.3, we don't know when the individual houses will.

i guess personal housing should be coming in 2.4.. again another disappointment if so. [i assume]
hate to sound selfish, but it was silly to even have fc housing before personal. not only do i want a house
but i wanna tend to my own garden and stuff. way to many hands in the pot right now in my fc, where i actually
wanted to harvest because i myself, bought plant and soil for the garden, only for someone to harvest, twice.
so i just stop caring for it till we get our own place. thats just me tho lol. atleast we can decorate our own rooms
for now i hope.

They implemented FC housing first as a test. Since the number of FCs is MUCH less than the number of individual characters it allowed them to get an idea in real time what kind of load requirements they would be looking at for the personal housing. Look at FC housing as almost a Personal Housing BETA test.

I guess it makes me happier that I went through the trouble of leveling up my own FC for a house a couple of months ago. It will be funny when it's all released, though, and I have an FC house, an instanced room in said house, and a personal plot.

I'd be fine if they just skipped the personal rooms completely and put all their focus on delivering us awesome personal housing.

I can't see why we'd need BOTH of those systems when I'm sure everyone is dying to see their own house and tend to their own garden.

because you know.. server stress and all.. maybe cost of it doesnt accounted for with how many players that really wanted a Personal house. some might hear personal rooms and settle with just that.
