My life while tanking is an existential hell from which there is no escape.
Black Mage is the easiest class to play and the hardest to get high DPS because of its nature. I'm really guessing you don't have a single idea of what it means to be a black mage. I do absolutely know how to play my class. Moving as little as possible, using my procs the way they are supposed to be used, usage of Aetherial Manipulation and so on. The highest I've seen a BLM do on T8 is probably around 360 with an iLVL 110 weapon. In my guild, I have Monks and Dragoons pushing 400 DPS with iLVL 100 weapons. I push up to 350 with an iLVL 100. Do you mind proving your claims with pictures or a video? Do keep in mind as well that we are speaking of T8! The only turn where BLM can potentially stand still all of the time. On T6, T7 and T9, that is another story. Same goes for T1, 2 and 5. T4 and 8 are the only turns where a BLM might shine with the turret DPS and on T8 they get outperformed by everything but SMN. That is the norm. I am not the only one to make this claim.
The pull of a BLM is always very high, although a DRG and BRD pulls should be higher. If he outdpsed you on pull, then he probably had some crazy critical hits.
You fail to acknowlegde the fact that BLM has nothing of value to bring in pretty much every fight. On T8 they are decent. In all of the other content a SMN is FAR superior. You are just again one of these people who tells others bbbb-but the BLM in my team. The BLM in your team is not the norm. I have been playing with numerous Black Mages and I have never met one who REALLY outperforms me. I'm the only BLM in a linkshell that is allowed to be a BLM on fights because I know how to use the class well. I'd say that you don't have any idea what you are talking about.

My life while tanking is an existential hell from which there is no escape.

Why is BLM hard in a turret fight? Don't move. Attack.
????????????
You can always post a screenshot where you ommit the names. But it is good that this far you have done nothing to counter what I say. Just some personal experiences of another BLM and some gibberish. The other guy was right, there is nothing decent coming from you. I will however pose you a question. On Turn 8 I do the following:
I start with Thunder III - Fire III - Raging Strikes - Fire I - X Intelligent - Fire Spam until low MP - Blizzard III - Thunder II - Blizzard I (depending is mana is going to be full - Fire III ...
I save my Swiftcast Flare for the Dreadnaughts for more DPS.
I am on tower duty. I run to the tower and use a proc while moving if I have one, I use aetherial manipulation so that the time that is lost is reduced to the maximum.
Please, oh wise sir. Tell me how I can gain another 30 DPS. Or ask your fellow BLM to give me some tips. My Bard plays Requiem at the start. Tell me where my loss of 30 DPS or even 40 is.
No one said BLM is hard in a turret fight, Extal.
Also, explain to me how in a mobile fight like every turn but 8 a BLM can outdps any of the classes. I have seen but one picture of someone having 350 DPS on T6 in a 5min30 fight where the bard had Requiem up for 30-40% of the time. Very good, but not the norm.

How to outdps everyone in T6 as BLM in 5 easy steps.
1. Never get picked for Vines.
2. Never get picked for Floral Trap.
3. Never get picked for Honeyglazed.
4. Get a lot of briars in the middle, which dont die until they expand a 2nd time, which hinders melee dps.
5. Have a tank buddy as your AM target, ideally in a macro, in voice chat, so you always have someone to AM to for movement.
But under normal circumstances... no.
Lets face it. IF a BLM does at BEST 2nd LOWEST dps on a dummy, lowest being Bard (without Disembowel), then how the HELL are they supposed to outdps ANYONE in a normal fight unless somehow all the punishing mechanics are magically aimed at everyone BUT the BLM.

How to outdps everyone in T6 pre* burn phase as SMN in 5 easy steps.
1. Put Garuda off to the side, and DONT tell it to attack a hornet that is on the other side of the boss, or it'll move and probably get cleaved.
2. Keep an Aetherflow stack banked for a last second Bane on a center Bulb, if Aetherflow is going to refresh in ~10 seconds, might as well use that last stack anyway.
3. When you have to move, Ruin 2... Keep your dots up, prioritizing Bio 2 and Miasma, since you can reapply Bio on the run, and liberally use Ruin 2, trust me, the WHM will end up calling for Manasong before you get close to running out of MP.
4. "Dont suck."
5. "Just dont suck at playing Summoner..."
*If you are burning it after 40%, then depending on Vine targets, the melees will likely outdps you, unless they are repeatedly picked for vines.
Source: Several weeks of personal experience in T6 as a BLM and SMN... Generally starting as BLM, getting picked for mechanics left and right, and winding up as 4th on the dps list. Then getting pissed off, switching to SMN, and topping the parse until about halfway through the burn phase, then the Monk tends to catch up.

Don't use logic toward that dude. It has no effect on him.
Well, we have a crazy DRG. But yes, Monk is a lot higher than DRG.
