I don't like this Vivi Animus person. I believe he's a big part of the problem with the BLM community.

That is why I am always sceptical whenever someone claims to have such high DPS because from my perspective, I can never get it.

You know why you can never get it?

1. You play with a controller (which can bottleneck performance over using a mouse and keyboard).
2. You're a casual.
3. Can't accept those who are better.

It's players like you are the reason we're getting buffed for all the wrong reasons. BLMs should get a buff because the class needs it. Not because most BLM players are bad in this game.

There is literally NO difference in using a controller over a keyboard. Even so, that has nothing to do with skill then. Especially not since the slow cast times. I also go Monk with my controller and sometimes push to 350 with iLVL 90 gear. That argument is invalid.
Yes, I am casual, and that does not mean I have room for improvement. Having a sceptical attitude is not an unhealthy thing to do.
I always claimed that BLM needs a buff because the class needs it. Not sure if you're being serious. What would make you think I am a bad BLM? I play with very good people all the time. I perform very well in sales, I am into top notch linkshells ...
How much proof would you need to accept that I am definitely not a bad BLM?

I honestly don't think so. I mean, I'm not unhappy we're getting buffs, and I'll accept them. I'm just like... why? We're just fine. Sure our single target isn't the best, but we make up for nice aoe. It's *balanced*. We make up for what other classes can't do as well as us, and vice versa. So yes, I'm being dead serious.

This is not FPS game so you need a precise control that you can't do with Controller

Some game have their own preference BUT NOT THIS GAME

You probably can't win Racing Car game using keyboard + mouse against Controller or using Controller against Wheel-pad

This is MMORPG game, Online Team play based game that required you to learn how to play your classes and jobs and then press skill/spell properly so you can do good

Controller vs Keyboard is NOTHING DIFFERENT here

I am pretty sure one of the most mentioned spell in this thread is Aetherial Manipulation, and using a controller will indeed hamper your usage of the said spell due to the lack of mouse over macros. Therefore, in a mid to high mobility fight, a controller wielding Black Mage will suffer more than a KB/M one.

In all honesty from MY perspective, as a BLM raider, 97% of the BLMs I come across (either on the SE official forums, on reddit, and even on my server) are a bunch of cry babies. It all started with Titan HM.

I do agree that anytime we have to stop casting to move, our dps drops as a rock. That is why you progress as an individual per fight to see how to maximize performance as a BLM (and any dps class).

Black Mage is good and viable for all content in the game. If you think otherwise then you're just a bad player and accept it instead of crying here on the forums.
