relic/animus discussion

so theres a discussion going on on another board regarding relic and I wanted to know what the rest of the community had to say about it (about the point of relic not about the discussion itself but about the things said about relic in that discussion). soo here it is:

Soo what do you guys think? why would anyone take all hat time getting and upgrading relic if its not/never gonna be the end all be all weapon for your class/job and much better weapons can be obtained in MUCH less time?

It's simple, it's catering to casuals who don't do EG content where currently the better weapons is. It gives them something to do, since getting the bow in T5 I have slowed down a lot when it comes to farming myth to get books to upgrade as the weapon is better (only 2 completed).

I have a feeling zodiac weapons will become the most powerful weapons in game, but they will require a lot of time to obtain them (and I'm not talking about making worse versions of the atma quest), if you think about what we have now, it's the 3rd and 4th stage so it doesn't need to be the most powerful, we know we have Novus to come and probably more after that.

cause not everyone has access to raids and primals. Those unlucky bunch with non static groups and bad PuGs have no choice but to be stuck with the weathered soldieries/mythology and zenith/atma/animus.

I chose Atma because I prefer it anyways. I could care less to have the best stuff and being the best, and I know how people tend to be in coil and primals lol so it's my alternative to not have to deal with stress from people being mean. Instead, I'm just taking everything slow and going with friends to learn things slowly, like I did with CT and the first two turns in Coil. So I'd rather have the Animus over a coil weapon and soldiery gears over coil gears if it means I have more fun taking my time and doing what I want. Though sadly the FATE grinding is boring xD But I still like to think of it as better than learning coil and getting screamed at for not being perfect my first time.
So I'll get that Animus eventually, 7/12 down and a bad luck streak so far but I'm getting it! <3

I up this topic to add a new question.

2.25 was suppose to add the next quest of the relic.I almost finished my relic for my DRG so it's going to be a lvl 100 weapon.But do we know the lvl of the next relic(after the animus)?
I heard persons saying it'll be lvl 110 but i can't hardly believe it.Or else the quest to upgrade it will be something at least difficult as T8.Many people will not down T8 when 2.28 will come out so i don't expect a lvl 110 weapon.
May be 105 ?I really hope so,my main class is DRG but i'm now playing as MNK on new coil since i got more loots and i'm the only one playing both jobs.I can't do 2 relics it just take too much time :s
