the cause of the drop outs/90k is cogentco seeing as they have from anywhere 15%-60% packet loss on there hops. the issue isnt with servers but its been with cogentco network which u would see if u use winmtr to tracert to server and leave it on for couple hrs it will show u the packetloss so u can easily see problem. issue only effects na/eu servers because of being routed through the bad path/ bad hop which cogentco has
if u look at the 12th jump on the tracert pasted above u will see problem that jump as like 15-50% packet loss which is causing the problem
Is there any possible way we can fix this? or is it something Square has to fix?
If it's Ormuco, then SE may be able to lean on them to research/address it (it's their ISP).
If it's a third party like Cogent, TATA, Level3, etc. then your ISP needs to research/address it because they have partnered with them to carry your data from their network to other people's networks--your ISP has the enforceable service contract there (or the option of routing you through someone else's network to get you to Ormuco). Without such agreements in place, you would only be able to reach content available on your ISP's own network--no access to google, netflix, microsoft, etc. if they were running on someone else's network.

So even though this all happened at the same time to multiple people, this could be coincidentally our issue to deal with?

Awesome this worked for me =)I may have a solution. Wasn't able to log on for the longest time. A FC mate of mine is a programmer with computer knowledge. He recommended teh following and it got me in the game ASAP.
go to command prompt
Type: ipconfig/release
You will get disconnected from your internet.
Type: ipconfig/renew
And try to log into the game. It worked for me.
Error 2002 since april 21 haven't been able to play fr a weekwhat the heck is going on? I tried everything to fix it uninstallingthe app cchecking network connection. Heck I even deleted all my characters on it(sonys idea). I thought it was just me. Is square enix gonna fix this?

IT turned out that didn't solve it... it was a cable cut and their trying to repair it... we just have to wait for the repair.
Got hit with a 90k and now I'm getting 2002s in a row. This is starting to get really annoying now.
