Eh? SMN melts faces in aoe pulls. Tridisaster just stinks.Mainly why I thought it would be good when used with an AoE-focused pet. As it stands SMN doesn't have a whole lot in the way of AoE damage for speed runs and the like. This would be a means to allow them to perform better in that situation and the paralyze as an added support so the healer may not have to worry as much. Wouldn't really be effective to use it on a boss as the stuns could mess up a dedicated stunner and like you said, paralyze is one of those middle ground abilities where it'd be nice if it proc'd but only shows returns when multiple targets are present.
I don't know why people can't understand the difference between sustain and burst.
When it comes to long fights yeah SMN's will be constantly doing AoE dps as long as they keep refreshing those dots.
When it comes to short fights BLMs will obliterate those packs since they can burst those 20,000(?) HP bars.
That's why BLM does better in brayflox farms than SMN. ~10K damage to every mob individually in the course of 20 seconds vs whatever SMN can do in the course of 20 seconds.

Unfortunately I don't think that information is at all relevant unless there was an event in Japan yesterday, but the Live Letter was never announced. So, I'll take it with a grain of salt for now.
Yes it was announced at the end of the last live letter at 4/26 there's a "NicoNico" event which is where the FATE occurred.

More than likely this was meant to sure as the Japanese live letter, and we, the U.S., will get the same info when the English live letter comes out soon. I would also mark you calendars. If they are giving us this kind of information now, I'd imagine that the E3 info will be much more to the player's liking.
