There might be rights then. It is certainly possible they will make the gun job a ranged dps/ support character like the bard is.

But, what if they implement Musketeer with a Rapier in it’s main hand and a gun/rifle in it’s off hand? Heck, if you take a look at the following drawing, they could even add a pet to it (which i would find rather interesting). (^_~ )

If the Musketeer would use both a Rapier and a gun/rifle, then they could have it branch of in a Red Mage and a Corsair Job.
Personally, i think a Red Mage would like nice if it was carrying both a Rapier and a Gun and would look similar to this:

Then the corsair could look similar to this:

I really would love to see a female Corsair with a dress like the woman in that drawing is wearing...
Hmmm… And why are there people walking towards me carrying torches and pitchforks? (o_O; )

The problem with most online FFs is that they insist on giving everyone the same look. Sure, one AF and a Relic or so you might get to look good, but the rest of the time you'll look exactly like a MNK or BRD.
I really wish they went that extra mile and perhaps made armors look different depending on your active class. Buf if they can't make an easy vanity mode, they sure can't change the looks based on which class you play.

Breaking news. The new class will be a tank called ATMA GUN-MAGE. It will be a tank/dps/healer hybrid that uses ATMA as ammunition. Need to kill a boss? No problem, just farm your 12 ATMA, load up your ATMACANNON and fire away. Farming ATMA for your gun will help keep FATEs relevant. Please look forward to this new fun and exciting system.
Gun Mage X-2 style?
Yoshi-P is doing his best and is patching Endwalker. Please wait warmly until it is ready.

Nice if true but damn sounds like 2.3 will be 2 months away and if it not present there that's gonna be another 3-4 months before we even see the new classes come into play. At least May wont be so hard on me with all the movies coming out hopefully I have enough to do before it gets released.
As for the gun class comment I wouldn't be surprised. There's many approaches to be taken into consideration.
Personally I wonder if this means the gunner class will be the black mage of range melee dps or summoner. Yet instead of having to resource mana or aetherflow you'll end up resourcing ammunition akin to how merlwyb did her role in the main scenario. I'm seriously looking forward to it.
As for the dagger class I wonder how it will play out. Will it be combo reliant and if so how will it play out? Are we gonna see this dagger class have a primary and secondary finisher like Dragoon's Full Thrust and Chaos Thurst making it a burst damage class with a dot or more like Warrior where the primary combo does it's main job and the secondary combo branches off for debuff and utility, or are we gonna see finishers like monks for stacking damage outputs making it a sustain damage class?
This I'm curious to see. Can't wait for E3.

also i really hope this is true!!! i want my musketeer only been waiting for this since 1.0
Given that Red Mage and Blue Mage were actually talked about a lot coming off Musketeer in beta, and Corsair is just ridiculously obvious, I'm going to say Dancer. A ballet of shooting people in the face would be pretty damn awesome. The gun class isn't what people are expecting it to be.
Really hope that's a mistake, because as far as I remember, they've always made Frontlines out to be an open world PvP area. I've certainly not been expecting anything half as good as ESOs Cyrodiil, but this would just be terribly disappointing.Frontlines are aiming to be in 2.3! (They made it seem like it was an 8v8v8, not confirmed though)

I don't think this game has enough of a dedicated/interested PvP playerbase to support an open world PvP area, unless it was cross-server (which it doesn't sound like it is). Perhaps they realized this and changed it to a 24-man battleground type thing?
I honestly don't know how I'd feel about that. On one hand the large-scale open world Frontlines system did sound kinda cool and it would be unfortunate if it was scrapped but on the other hand I just don't see how this game could support it. The place would be deserted 90% of the time, certainly it'll be nowhere near the population of GW2's WvW. And some objective-based battlegrounds would be a very nice change of pace from the stupid 4v4 arenas we have now.
All they need to do is give it some passive bonuses. Maelstrom controls X, Maelstrom items cost less GC Seals. Twin Adder controls Y, all Twin Adder allied FCs get cheaper actions. Nothing that would massively impact gameplay, but something players would want to get. If Frontlines is anything like Cyrodiil, it wouldn't entirely be PvP either. Cyrodiil had PvE elements, if one faction controlled an area, NPCs of that faction would guard it. Same thing could buffer numbers in Frontlines.
Assuming PvP becomes playable to the layman, then the gear itself also provides a viable incentive. OK, you get Moral instead of a useful stat, but it's still iLv100 gear that isn't behind a weekly lockout. In that sense PvP gear could fill the same spot as crafted gear if the developers allow it.
