I'd like to see exactly where they mentioned new classes would be added. I'm not seeing that in the translation document...

Red Mage with the following
Gunblade
Or Saber/Rapier/Sword and Pistol dual wield
= Win
Squall Leonhart what?
I can see it now:
Enfire
Spikes
-click click on the pistol, 2 rounds to the face, swipe-
Yep...I'm all about it.
Especially if he stands there with his sabre/rapier hand foremost, hiding the pistol behind his back or having it in a holster with his arm cropped over it looking straight Pimp. Please SE, take my money.
Make him look smooth criminal like this fella

From my interpretation of Yoshi wordings, new jobs are still possible with existing classes that do not require expansion. SE must be playing around with the concept of Arcanist having both as Summoner and Scholar and decided that other classes can do the same too. Here's where its a little bit tricky as SE is not usually giving out free new jobs like thief to players that have already level up most or all classes thus the likelihood to increase lv cap to 60 together with the new jobs to get used to them.
As to the location of where to level up above 50, instead of having each new areas for all 3 cities (Limsa, Gridania and Uldah) that will be too large for patches, SE might simply be using one common new area which could be Ishigard. It is situated on a neutral ground Coerthas and is possible as simply a patch thing (2.4 maybe just after Crystal Tower patch). Or possibly giving experience points on new harder dungeons so as not to clogged out all players in one location.
Please be nice to everyone and remember this is only a game.
They could also just bring out a new dungeon or two, including possible hard modes, and have us level in those. At level you can get about 4400 xp per mob in DD, imagine what that would be in current hard modes or a possible lvl 53 dungeon. As to the location of where to level up above 50, instead of having each new areas for all 3 cities (Limsa, Gridania and Uldah) that will be too large for patches, SE might simply be using one common new area which could be Ishigard. In regards to existing classes for new jobs with daggers, I was actually thinking there is ALREADY a dual handed wield class: Pugilist! Thus that will be the main class with either Marauder or Lancer as sub. Guns job will have Archer and either Lancer/Marauder or Thaumaturge as sub depending if SE would like pure ranged DPS method or ether magical guns job.
Again this is simply my own analysis and is definitely up for all kinds of debates but I am glad that SE are looking at all possibilities!

Don't forget the new class and jobs can also have the new ones as requirement. In regards to existing classes for new jobs with daggers, I was actually thinking there is ALREADY a dual handed wield class: Pugilist!
