Its a good step as they aren't as long as the dungeons. So many things to learn in this game, I find myself spending as much time reading up as I do playing, Just a quick question tho, my bonus attributes have so far been split 40-60 between vitality and strength in favour of strenght, I'm now thinking vitality might have been more important. Would I be wise to respec?
Crafting and gathering leves give good experience, just so you know.

If you're playing a tank, spec into VIT. STR doesn't give you any real benefits.

Yeah, I've been working on my blacksmith using the leves, managed to go from 21 to 28 in a couple of hours. Trying to get the level to match my warrior so I can attach materia to my weapons. Can cost a lot if you don't gather yourself tho but some of the cost can be off set by selling wares. Just have to find items that sell well, the market is up and down so fast on my server. I've put all additional bonuses into Vit, will probably respec once I get to level 50 but just about managing to hold my own so far. Thanks for the tips

How can you compare solo quests to dungeons?

i imagine this will probably come, but not so soon in the games life, maybe next year when it will really be impossible to do a sastasha without some AI filling in spots

the original guildwars did it well, you were allowed to bring a warrior healer and dps out into the open world or dungeons, meaning you only had to find a group of 4 or 5 people to get through all content, they were never as good and had limited skillbars, but were perfectly adequate for everything in the storyline so long as you played well yourself

like i said in the other thread. I dont mind a solo dungeon as long as there are conditions.

    ALL exp/gil/drops are removed.

The only thing a solo dungeon is good for is a time limit attack or something.

A tank practicing a solo dungeon wouldnt help at all btw. You won't learn to protect anyone but yourself and you will find yourself confused when put into a situation where the team is taking aggro or what not.

You should join low level guildhest/dungeons to start practicing and work your way up to know how to handle your skills and situations. looking up useful macros/tank guides help too.

I see this argument in a lot of threads, and it's usually misapplied. The fact is that the group content usually (as here) being discussed is not massively multiplayer. "Massively multiplayer" refers to the fact that any of the thousands of other players online at the same time can come along and interact with you or with the mobs you're fighting. (FATEs are a good example, as a place where such interaction is not only possible, but likely.) When it's only a fixed group of 4 or 8 players who exist in the area you're in, that's just regular "multiplayer", not "massively multiplayer". As with many (most?) MMOs, the only part of the game that's massively multiplayer is the open landscape, and it applies mostly to when you're soloing.

Being inexperienced is going to be more of an issue at 50, not less. It's better to get that experience and learn your class's role in the easier low level content, so by the time you reach 50 and want to tackle endgame content you are experienced. Soloing will only get you experienced at soloing. To get experienced at your class's role in groups, you'll need to work with groups. This is especially true of tanks and healers, but even DD classes have some different mechanics for positioning and aggro management that they can only practice in group content.

Hi Damofitz, 99% of people will be nervous and reluctant to get into their first group contents in first MMO. You paid for this game so I am sure you wanna get most fun experience in the game you can have, and playing w/ others are just that in MMO, in my opinion.

You won't learn very much that will help your dungeon runs even if you lvl 50 doing solo missions and such. I suggest you join a nice Free Company (guild) / make friends and ask them to run it with you. That's where you will find most fun I think, but like I said, it's your game

    Good Luck.

I see your point but I planned on working my way up, so I would get synced to the level I think. Done up to the sunken cave so far, not many issues but then then the first boss on sunken casts doom and only one guy knew what to do so the rest of us were toast until he explained, so I can see how unless the game told me, I defiantly was better off in a party

I guess I'm just reluctant to chat at times as I use the ps4 to zone out and chill after a long day at work and what not. But at the same time, I have enjoyed the dungeons I've done so far, those hard fought victories wouldn't have felt the same with npc's.
