PVP....Wow...

Oh I know there's many players that don't care for pvp at all but the players that I know that do enjoy pvp from other mmos are not even doing it at all. You should still see pvp groups setup once in awhile on PF and shouts for a more pvp focus ls/fc once in awhile.

I've played dozens of PvP-oriented games, but I think that's really the point. This game isn't very PvP centric. Games like DC Universe Online, World of Warcraft or Perfect World have PvP at their core gameplay. Even Guild Wars 2 has a huge PvP core to its gameplay, despite the central game revolving around PvE.

FFXI was PvE, FFXIV is PvE. It's going to be hard to coax players into it without PvE rewards.
