    Battle Reform: Animations/Motions/Graphical adjustments?

    I see Yoshi-P talking about chocobos, jumping(and related motions) but to me at least the combat aesthetical renovations are much more interesting (and important) to hear about. Yet we know so little beyond what has been said in a few quotes.

    I remember the art director passing by to throw some vague notes about their plans related to animations and effects (beyond making them larger) but it has been so long since then...

    As they are scheduled to be implemented in 1.19 at least in some form I feel like they are starting to be close enough in development to let us know the general direction at least. I mean, we know about pretty much everything else that is being implemented soon, maybe Grand Companies aside.

    So, throw us aesthetic-lovers a bone, Yoshi-P

    Aye. You don't stop moving while engaging either, supposedly.

    These may be hints of what's to come. But very little to go on.

    I think they should implement a new animation or effect for critical hits as well.... it just doesn't seem right rewinding the same animation for a devastating blow

    Also, it would probably help break the visual monotony if they had maybe 3 similar animations for the basic/auto-attack that played at random but never occur in the same order.
