    Yeah but.... RMT companies that invest money in XIV (buy the game and make multiple chars) easily have their investment pay for itself ten times the initial price. I don't think it really matters what SE does to them. They run multiple accounts, either sandboxed or on different machines, they turn on the bot and go afk and return every so often to rotate the characters once they hit gathering fatigue. It's almost effortless, for both cases - 1 char to 50 or multiple ones to 50. I don't know what a day of botting would net you in mats per char, but I'm quite ready to argue that it's fairly decent numbers that add up nicely toward economic instability. Granted, with fatigue it's a bit of a bigger hassle, but I still won't stop them in the short or long run. It does cripple the players who don't bot and have to suffer the restrictions manually.

    What I'm saying is; It's a minor inconvenience for the RMT and a bigger one for actual players.
