Titan HM Curiousity

So recently, I've been doing some Titan HM runs. Not really content to be worried about at my point, I've cleared it as all my jobs, but I have noticed an interesting thing -

Healers have gotten to the point where they seem to think that the Debuff on Titan HM is just a Damage down, and that it doesn't affect them at all / they don't need to self-cleanse.

Now, I might just be going crazy because I haven't seriously healed this content since 2.0, but - doesnt' his debuff also effect healers just as bad?

From my experience, no. The debuff only seems to affect offensive stats like STR, DEX, and INT. Even with the debuff I was still curing for well over 1k so I doubt MND is affected by it.

As far as I can remember, it's always been a damage down debuff; it has never affected healing.

That's so wierd. I always had reduced healing back in 2.0 with it up, it was painfully obvious. ._. I guess I'm just going crazy.

I think I remember the tooltip used to say Determination Down instead of Damage Down, but people tested it back then too and determined healing wasn't affected. That might be where your confusion is coming from - that or I'm misremembering things (yay for short-term memory!).

yep, debuff states ONLY damage affected. i have run this countless times and never had it affect my healing since they switched it. as others have stated it used to be DETERMINATION, but they changed it to physical/magic damage only.
