Im new to a lot of this. Ive done a google search and I cant find a PS4 version of a good UI set up. I feel I could be better with this game if things were arranged better. Does any one have a link or ideas? Thanks![]()

Have you gone into the Options screens? Under System Options there's an interface that lets you move around a lot of the UI elements. Also, on the game screen itself if you click the touchpad "button" it frees up the cursor, which you can move around with the touchpad and highlight, grab and drag certain things like the message windows/logs. You can also use it to command pets by using the cursor to select actions on the pet hotbar that comes up when you have one summoned.
If you read through the "getting started" blurb for PS4 off the main page of the Lodestone it will explain how to control the cursor with the touchpad. For example, if you highlight a tab and double-tap, but hold on the second tab, you can grab the tab and adjust the size and position of the UI element (I did this to resize the game logs in the lower left-hand corner).
If you go into the settings (either Character Config or System Config) you can change the size of every single HUD element in one shot. I believe it's set to 80% as standard, which is fine if you're wearing binoculars.
On my PS3 I have it set to 80%, and on my PS4 I have it set to 120%, and they're both big enough I can see the HUD, but small enough that I don't have a 3cm window to view whats going on.
Although yeah, again, in Settings > HUD, you can resize and reposition every single element individually, if you want a different layout to the standard. I find standard fine, it's just the sizing I changed.
<insert witty and amusing statement here>
Thanks guys. I need to know where the best place is to position each part. Does any one know of a site or some where I can go?
Well - PS4 is same as PC so if you find one describing thr PC UI setup you can use that. As this is all pretty much down to personall preferences though it's hard to find an "universal" solution / settings.
I am playing the PS4 version and I have had a rearrange of the UI.
I am playing on a rather large TV (50inch) so it was hard to see everything going on when playing.
For a start make sure you are in full HD mode (Think its default anyway) then I arranged all less important information to screen edges. (Gil, mini map, server info etc).
I then increased the mini-map size and to 120% and hid things such as menu.
I increased the size of my target and placed enemies next to my character on the right. The size on my chat window was also increased along with the text.
All of this isn't easy to imagine I am sure but I will try and get a screen shot later to share tomorrow. No radical changes but all of these little thing made a difference for me.
The defaults it starts with aren't bad as defaults go. Any changes to that are either (1) personal preference or (2) relate to your TV size and distance from where you sit (which affects readability at various sizes, etc). Other people can tell you what they've done, but only you can decide what works well for you. Play around with the UI setup enough to figure out what's adjustable. Then move anything that's in your way. With a little trial and error, you'll figure out your own best arrangement.
it is all up to how you like to play.take me on other games i set up my look on my end to be the best that i like or what i need.it comes down to how you like it.

Im playing on a 55 inch so its hard to deal with some times. Im sitting about twelve feet away. If you get a chance to get a screen shot that would be cool. Thanks for every ones opinions so far.
