Golden saucer: fact or fabrication?

Ever since i started playing in sept ive heard rumours of ff7's amusement park coming to ff14. Ive always dismissed it as people lying to start rumours because the technology of eorzea doesnt seem to be advanced enough for arcade machines and rollercoasters i mean they dont even have standard definition tvs yet lol but a friend recently said it was in the making so i came here to ask: is it just bs or is eorzea getting the hookup?

Not sure if you finished the entire story... maybe your view will change once you meet Garleans and their technologies?

ive seen all the magiteck stuff and have a holo projector ceiling fan, i guess the lack of entertainment technology threw me off lol

It'll probably come with the first expansion I think. I can't imagine seeing this in a patch

I have a strong feeling the first implementation will heavily involve generic combat, rather than the variety of simple (and different) games we think of when it comes to the Gold Saucer. I want a rollercoaster-style mini game. Ooh and one that could be team oriented to get high scores that yield furniture or vanity goods...

You think that, with the empire at the door and primals rampaging on their lands, eorzean people would prioritize... anything over slot machines.
