This topic got really heated really fast.

My only piece of advice now would be... try rolling a tank. You learn a lot about your role as a healer by trying out the role that you'll actually be healing the most. It works in reverse, too - I learned how much stress I put on the healers when I don't pop cooldowns retroactively and I also learned that it's a very thankless job. Fending accessories are good early on as usually you can heal through everything up to Titan HM with just a bit of gear and a decent enough weapon, but once you get into Coil 4 and beyond you're going to be looking at a lot more damage to heal through and a lot less powerful heals to work with. The main stat of your class (Mind) is far more important than any other stat you could get - yes, having VIT helps, but you shouldn't be trading MND for VIT unless you absolutely NEED it to survive a certain mechanic of a certain boss (see: T9). Infact, if you need the extra VIT, I'd recommend either respecing to add a few points into VIT or only using one i90 Fending accessory - say, a ring.

If you'd like to use VIT accessories for 4m dungeons, that's fine - only speed runs really need excessive healing, and those barely need that if your group is good. I just wouldn't recommend it for 8m content, EX Primals and beyond.
