FF11 came out when MMOs were still new and there wasn't much of a standard to be held up to or much competition to leave for after realizing that 90% of your time is spent waiting around for a party unless you were a healer, brd, or rdm.
After watching this vid, It made me wish I would of stuck around longer to see the story after COP.

FFXI cutscenes and story were just too awesome.
Experience may vary. I only play DD classes mostly. It's just knowing how to organize, make friends, lead, static, etc (Kind of like FFXIV COIL statics). But yeah for certain players I would hate it as well. Not everyone got to experience the things that made ffxi special that's the sucky part. Like if you couldn't find a good static, then you missed out on COP hard mode and to most, that was one of the best part of the game. It's like Dark Souls or any niche game, it's not for everyone. What FFXIV did was try to appeal to everyone I.E McDonalds say vs a specialty restaurant. JRPGS were always a niche genre.

Yes thats's true and it is still awesome, also trust npcs make it possible to play the game even when there is noone to play wih u. Nice vid btw (:
And yes FFXIV is like mcdonalds lol good Point and everyone who thinks bad about FFXI, yes its a bit grindy and requires some time and work but its more worth is to play as most mmorpgs These days, if u dont want to spend some time waiting for a Party, u wont get the good stuff either, just crap like a dungeon finder with Zero Feelings and Zero anything.... most People wont understand this anyway, probably wasting my time but im thankful i was able to experience ffxi in my childhood
I'll preserve ure momories for the tomorrows yet to be... come what may, i could breath my last breath and the world be crumbling into oblivion, there are ways to keep a thought alive and i know one that works for sure...
