The reason most likely why OP's FC removed them was because they invited OP under the hopes that they would become a potential Healing WHM for future Statics. However Yumi took it upon themselves to start gearing themselves to becoming a Tanky WHM without their consultation - forcing perhaps 7 other people to follow one person's ideas which is not ideal unless Yumi was the FC leader. (Which they weren't).

Further more, Yumi made a post about 10000 pages long without editing and double posting why he/she felt it was unreasonable to not have tanky healers then dismissing others opinions by saying theirs was the one true way.So yes, this would lead X to having problems with friends especially since Yumi's post slanders other healing WHMS. (Also joining DF as a Tanky healer and forcing it on X members? Yeah not so smart.)

Yumi's best decision here is to start his/her own FC and/or linkshell and make it a one that's designed on trying out certain fights. (There are people who like to mess around with mechanics and try new things so it's not hopeless.) FC name could be WHM Tanks R Us. /shrug

Nope and D: that made me cry in a good way, tho the video could have been a bit more better edited as some pics / words were hard to read/see but anyways back on topic; it was a really good story!!! I would do anything to experience something like tht -._-. I blame the casual teleporting mechanic. It takes out the teleport wisely otherwise travel by foot or mount.

I have a great FC, always willing to help, But my most active LS is as good as the LS I was in for years in FFXI.

Nice story I didn't know if it was real or not until the end.

Arguing what you want to wear for gear is pointless in these forums full of moderators and IT managers.

Come to Fearie we are full of FC's and people if that sort, it's all I see mostly where you're free to do what ever you like. I seen one FC do a choco race and there is another event coming up.

Only other advice I can give is keep trying in groups and make your own. Eventually you will have to come across some folks that's been playing for awhile

It has better review scores than FFXIV . It's just this game attracted more of the WoW crowd that didn't like FFXI.

It is just 2nd coil & levi ex, i literally have no problem in everything else infact the other healer is undergeared than me half the time.

Let me try to explain with an example...
On the word of other posters, I looked at your history... Among other things (that I was a bit disappointed to find after you seemed like a kind person...), there's a post where you talk about tanking Dive Bombs in t5. And surviving with 2000-3000 HP.
Well... if you're unfortunate enough to get knocked into a wall, you die no matter your HP.
Not longer after that, Twisters come... These are not only an instant kill that ignores your HP, but the blast can take out other party members as well...
They're harder to dodge than Divebombs, because their intervals aren't fixed. Like Death Sentence, it's merely on a cooldown but might not be the first thing Twintania uses when it's ready...

If you can dodge divebombs, why the tanky gear? That is a very heal intensive fight, even with very good gear... There's a lot of work on the other healer. A *lot*. I know WHMs don't need every point of MND like other classes need their main stat, but if you dump large chunks of it... you're healing for considerably less. Maybe the other healer, even being lower ilvl, can carry you... SCHs are good at that... but it's a lot more work and stress on the other healer... And what if the other healer is trapped in a slow conflag and the MT has infirmity and is low on health already?

If you can't reliably dodge divebombs... no gear is going to help you survive twisters.

It's good that you have the accessories... but if I were team healing with you, I would be pleading with you to start with them, not finish (And, from your other posts... asking you to switch might mean you let me die if I mess up and get in a rough spot..?)... healing is enough stress as is...

Some of your old posts were also looking for FCs running endgame content... I'm really sorry, but if that's how you were going to play, I would be one of those speaking against you joining a static team. It is unkind and unfair to the other healer, and sometimes, in endgame, you do need to drop really powerful cures even with a top-notch tank and perfect-dodge DPS...

This doesn't mean tanky-WHM completely unworkable, but in this game, decisions like that have a high impact on those around you... and, that's why it's pretty much never going to be accepted, at least the current way the game is designed... in the end, it is your choice, but its also others' choices on who they want to play with...

By going with that build, you're making 7 other people work to support it... and the game is hard enough as is...
