    Account locked

    My account got locked, I assume because I was logging in from my friend's house so it posed a security risk, and it says it sent an email to the email linked with my squareenix account. It has been nearly an hour and no email has been received.

    Anyone know if there is a way to force a resend other than re-attempting login? Or if it's possible that the email they have is some how different from the one that has been receiving payment conformations for the past 2 years?

    Are you sure the email hasn't been automatically sent to a spam folder or something (usually email clients have a folder especially for junkmail and spam)? You might have to enable the email address in your email client as a 'trusted' address or something. I do know back during the beta for the PC and PS3 versions a lot of people were not receiving emails from SE simply because their ISP was thinking it was a mass spam attack and deleting everything SE was sending without people even knowing.

    I'm sure it's not in my spam. I use the email specifically for games and it hasn't received a single spam email in the entire time I've had the email account.

    It is likely that's what it was. It's not uncommon for those kind of emails to be slow/late. But, if you don't get it by tomorrow morning, call them or open web chat because that's probably the only way they'll be able to help you if you don't get it.

    But just so you know if you get an authenticator, that will never happen. And you get a free teleport in game so, why not?

    could be cause of that. better to just give them a call.

    also if u add a security token to your account u wont have this problem

    When I played SW:TOR, they had this terrible "one time" password system that basically made some people log into their email to get a password every single time they logged into their account. It's the reason I got a security key. Anyway...the email with the password sometimes took HOURS and HOURS to get... There was a whole slew of threads on their forum complaining about it. Your email might be delayed for one reason or another. It's not uncommon, apparently.

    If you haven't EXPLICITY checked your spam folder, then go check it NOW. Your response above suggested that you had just assumed that it won't have gone to spam.

    Up until 3 weeks ago, all emails from SE went into my Inbox. My account got suspended due to logging in from a different IP after my ADSL router reset.

    The email was sent. I didn't see it in my inbox. Had it resent 4 more times. Still nothing. I was ready to give up, 'cos those emails had always gone to my Inbox.

    Someone said, go check your Spam folder anyway, and sure enough, there they all were. Never happened before (going to Spam) but suddenly, yep, all in Spam now.
