There is a guy in my FC that didn't get a single atma drop in a whole week. Just because you and a few dont see a problem with the whole RNG fate grinding , doesnt mean there isnt one.Hard as in takes more time, thus more determination to slog through it. I haven't heard of anyone taking longer than 2-4 hours in my FC, so I am tempted to kind of not believe people are playing 20+ hours of fate grinding and not seeing a drop (yeah, anecdotal evidence). The overall grind may take long, but a single atma drop? Anyway, I am personally enjoying the atma grind, and it gives something to do while waiting on the downtime between other events. It's better than just standing in Revenant's Toll doing nothing at all.

Just because you and a few people see a problem with the whole RNG fate grinding, does not mean there is one.
See what i did there?
Is there a specific reason why people do want Animus over Tidal, Soldiery or High Allagan Weapons? 4 options to get a Weapon, why choose one you do not like?

Moreover, it doesn't require actual "skill".
All you need to do is grind fates for atmas... get to the books stage, and grind for myth.
The actually books are killing mobs, and waiting.
Nothing about the animus requires an actual skill.
Tidal weapons require you to complete ALL primal ex fights, and then farm the Levi Ex fight until desired outcome.
Soldiery weapons require you to complete t1-5, then farm drops from coil 2.
High Allagan weapons require you to be able to do the previous, but clear ALL the way through t9, and farm for weapon.

And? you just did prove exactly what i was saying in an earlier post. People do not want to grind RNG and do not want timesinks;
1. Get Tidal Weapon, which does require getting through the actual Ex-Primals. Skill involved i guess?
2. Get Soldiery Weapon, which does require Second Coil at least T7 and Soldiery Farm. Mix of both, Skill and Farming
3. Get High Allagan and beat the current highest/hardest Raid.
Animus is straight timesink/RNG, it is neither casual or hardcore. It is like the listed options just that; an option. If people want something which does require at least a certain amount of "Skill", i've listed 3 options. So why do people complain again? Because you can't get 1 option out of 4, not in a raid? So complaining for the sake of complaining?

For some people, getting 7 other skilled people together is harder than the encounter itself... so this is the only option where they don't have to have a pre-made or extreme luck with DF and then luck with drops.And? you just did prove exactly what i was saying in an earlier post. Skilled people know how to find one another. You join as a sub for someone's static in PF and show them youre good.
Or start a static and over time replace people who aren't skilled or aren't adapting/learning.

From what I see its not only "a few" who see a problem with the RNG farming. I don't mind the book part (heck, i dont even have one atma to begin with lol =P) its the whole RNG part where you dont see a progression. Sure, droping the Atma itself IS a progression, but there isnt a progression to GET the atma. Anyway, they'll probably change the quest once Novus is ready, yoshi-p isn't inclined to let people fall back on content when new content is released, so i'll just waitJust because you and a few people see a problem with the whole RNG fate grinding, does not mean there is one.
