If it was vanity such as a unique weapon look I would agree with you. Since it has better stats it is progression outside of coil.
People pay money to play this game. When you\\'re paying for something you are "entitled" to get what you feel you\\'re paying for. Many folks, myself included, feel the direction SE has taken in regard to the Atma quest is lazy and we are worried the product we are paying for is changing for the worse. Rather than giving up and leaving, we are voicing our concerns so that something may be done about it. If SE\\'s decision is to keep at as is, then we have our answer and we decide if we wan\\'t to continue to give SE our money or not.
This is funny, you should bold entitled though. You are entitled to nothing but the privilege to connect to their servers. You are at the whim of SE as per the contract you agreed when you signed up. They could delete your characters with no legal repercussions because SE owns it, not you. A large group could influence SE if they began losing money, but no one is entitled to anything.
It's not hard per say; you've simply been having an easier (more lucky) time than others. People's complaints are valid -- nothing should be so random in this game that you can go over 20 (or even 10 or 5) hours in game for a drop and receive nothing. Especially so early in this game's life. Something that drops within 5 mins to 5 hours per drop is more reasonable, considering you have a myth grind (and new grind after myth) afterwards.
Doing FATEs is not hard at all. You enter FATE, and faceroll the mobs (or faceroll the mobs and turn in fetch items). Then you move onto the next area. However, the Atma questline doesn't even promote proper FATEing if that was it's intent. People AoE roll over mobs and leave to the next open FATE to increase their chances of getting a drop, usually leaving people to solo or duo -- these people more than likely being lower level people who are doing FATEs for exp. If it's not this, it's usually a gigantic mob of people FATEing in lowbie zones, running over all of the FATEs, thereby not giving actual low level players a chance to get to these FATEs, because of a lack of the ability to ride mounts.
It's just poorly conceived all around and should receive a slight drop increase.

Hard as in takes more time, thus more determination to slog through it. I haven't heard of anyone taking longer than 2-4 hours in my FC, so I am tempted to kind of not believe people are playing 20+ hours of fate grinding and not seeing a drop (yeah, anecdotal evidence). The overall grind may take long, but a single atma drop? Anyway, I am personally enjoying the atma grind, and it gives something to do while waiting on the downtime between other events. It's better than just standing in Revenant's Toll doing nothing at all.
This is what SE can do when new generation players find everything hard to do.
If SE actually made a hard content to get the Atma/Animus, you think 70% ofplayers would be happy? I mean look how long it took post of them to beat Titan Extreme? People wipe even with these 30-40% boosts. You think if they made weapon farming anywhere closer to Titan;s difficulty people would have it?
This is SE's way of making unskilled players earn their weapons.
You want Casual game, you got it.
Goodbye, Final Fantasy...
There is a guy in my FC that didn't get a single atma drop in a whole week. Just because you and a few dont see a problem with the whole RNG fate grinding , doesnt mean there isnt one.Hard as in takes more time, thus more determination to slog through it. Does anyone remember the dynamic grind for 'those' relics? That's what a real grind looks like. It took a complete exhaustion of pretty much every resource available to you for you to even progress 1% towards completing it. I think people need to shy away from thinking this is a game that will instantly gratify it's player base. At heart, FF is a J-MMO, even if the brand is globalized. In all J-anythings, the grind is part of the game play.
Just because you and a few people see a problem with the whole RNG fate grinding, does not mean there is one.
See what i did there?
Is there a specific reason why people do want Animus over Tidal, Soldiery or High Allagan Weapons? 4 options to get a Weapon, why choose one you do not like?
